Embracing Energy and Prioritising your Workload Without Burning out!

For purpose-driven professionals, finding the balance between passion and burnout can be a delicate dance!

In the world of purpose-driven professionals, where passion and dedication often drive us forward, finding the balance between staying motivated and avoiding burnout can be a challenging task. As a coach supporting professionals with purpose, I recently had an interesting coaching session with a client that highlighted the transformative impact of a simple question. So, I want to share this powerful experience and delve into the concept of prioritisation and energy management in the pursuit of sustainable impact and well-being.

Last week, during a coaching session with Lauren Baxter, we discussed her workload and how she has been feeling overwhelmed. I asked a simple question that really resonated with Lauren: "What do you actually have the energy to do?" It was a question aimed at unlocking her true priorities and helping her navigate the overwhelming nature of her to-do list. Little did we know at the time that this question would become a game changer for her.

Lauren shared that she is to struggling with prioritisation, often teetering on the edge of burnout. Like many purpose-driven individuals, she found it challenging to say no and would often spread herself too thin, compromising her well-being and the quality of her work. Sadly a common pattern that needs to be addressed in order to create sustainable impact and a healthy work life balance.

🌈 A week on from our session Lauren shared that: "I’m now looking at my to-do list much more clearly, meaning I often do less but can last longer."

πŸͺž Upon reflecting on the question and examining her energy levels, Lauren has begun to view her to-do list with newfound clarity. She discovered that by focusing on the tasks that truly aligned with her energy and purpose, she is doing less on a daily basis, but is more productive overall.

πŸ‘©β€πŸ’» As a coach, witnessing such transformative shifts in my clients fills me with immense gratitude and purpose. Lauren's experience serves as a testament to the power we all hold within ourselves to create lasting change and find fulfilment in our professional endeavours, crucially without burning out! By respecting our energy and aligning it with our priorities, we unlock the potential to make a far more significant impact without sacrificing our well-being.

Lauren was kind enough to share her experience and recommend my coaching services to other purpose-driven professionals. "Highly recommend Bethany to any charity freelance folk. She’s a fab cheerleader, motivator, and all-round lovely person 🌟"

It is moments like these that reaffirm the value and impact of coaching for purpose-driven professionals.
